That’s Like is a fitness app for iPhone and Android, made by Mereward Ltd. It is built to be local-first: everything about you stays on your phone. This page explains exactly what that means.

The short version

What the app stores on your device

All of this is kept in the app's private storage on your phone. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else. You can turn off health access at any time in Apple Health or Health Connect settings, and enter numbers by hand instead.

What the app downloads

The app downloads public reference data from our server (the That’s Like API): typical step and calorie averages, the list of comparison items (like a slice of cake or a double-decker bus) and basic app settings. This is the same for everyone. The request carries nothing about you — no profile, no health data, no identifier. Like any web server, ours may briefly keep standard technical logs (such as IP address and time of request) to keep the service running; we do not use them to identify or track you.

What we do not do

Deleting your data

Because your data lives only on your device, you are in control of it. To erase it, either use Settings → Erase all app data in the app, or simply delete the app. Data held in Apple Health or Health Connect itself is managed by those apps and is not affected.

Children

That’s Like is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone — including children — since the app does not collect personal information at all.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
